Information you provide directly:

• Account information: email address, display name, username, password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
• Profile information: avatar photo, bio, location (optional).
• Vehicle and build data: year, make, model, trim, specs, photos, and build notes you add to your garage.
• Marketplace listings: item details, photos, pricing, and contact preferences.
• Messages: direct messages sent between users on the platform.
• Contact form submissions: name, email address, and message content when you reach out to us.

Information collected automatically:

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, collected by our hosting provider (Vercel).
• Cookies and local storage: session tokens and authentication state to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Display your profile, builds, and listings to other users.
• Enable community features including crew connections, messaging, clubs, and events.
• Facilitate marketplace transactions between buyers and sellers.
• Respond to your messages and support requests.
• Send notifications related to your account activity (crew requests, comments, messages).
• Improve and maintain the Site.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

Public information:

Your display name, username, profile photo, public builds, and marketplace listings are visible to all visitors of the Site, including those who are not logged in. Make sure you are comfortable with content being publicly visible before posting it.

Service providers:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data, build data, and uploaded photos are stored on Supabase infrastructure. See Supabase’s Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — our hosting provider. Vercel processes request logs as part of serving the Site. See Vercel’s Privacy Policy.
• Google Workspace — used to send transactional emails (contact form replies, notifications). See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Legal requirements:

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request (such as a subpoena or court order).

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer. Some information (such as content you posted publicly) may remain cached or archived for a period after deletion.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Access and update: You can view and update your profile information at any time from your Dashboard settings.
• Delete your account: You can request account deletion by contacting us at hello@bs23r1.com.
• Data portability: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us.
• Opt out of notifications: You can manage notification preferences in your account settings.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA respectively. Contact us to exercise those rights.

BS23R1 is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including affiliate retailers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
